Overdressed

I just can't seem to win. All week it's been around 68 degrees in my office. I suffered thorugh it on Monday, being barely able to feel my fingers when I left. Then I finally dressed appropriately yesterday in turtleneck (surprise surprise) and sweater. I was still a little chilled, but I could at least move my fingers. Today, I again dressed in a turtleneck and sweater. Only now it's around 83 degrees. I really wish they could just get the office temperature under control.

In the mall, it's always 68 degrees. I could live there for that reason alone.

But at the mall, you're walking and talking and trying on clothes and eating - things to elevate your body temp. At work, I sit in front of a PC all day without moving so I need it to be a tad bit warmer.

I totally agree with HnB. My office is usually about 68 degrees, too since the doctor likes it that way. But I freeze! I have to get up and go stand in the sun about once every hour and a half or my fingers get stiff .. which does not help with my typing!

I understand what you do at work...are there any windows, like with blinds to open...or are you in a cell? But 83 degrees sounds like something is broken...or your boss is gone. Perhaps he came out of the office and noticed the few penguins that had taken up residence among his employees and figured he might need to do something different.
